Policies:
*Standard Sickness Policies apply. Please stay home with your child if your child shows signs of illness or requires the aid of over the counter medication to regulate their body temperature.
* Children will not be admitted with fevers over 100 degrees, severe cough, ear aches, contagious or undiagnosed rashes, diarrhea, vomiting, discharge from eyes or extreme nasal discharge.
* Some illnesses may require a doctor’s note to return to childcare (such as chicken pox).
* If a serious illness develops or your child has been exposed to any contagious illness, please notify me so that I may be aware of it.
* In addition, I have the right to not admit a child whom appears to be too ill to be in my care.
* If your child becomes ill during the day, or in my opinion, your child is too ill to remain in care, I will call you. Parent is expected to immediately pick up your child. If this is not possible, it is the responsibility of the parent to arrange to have an authorized person pickup your child.
* Once your child has been symptom free for 24 hours or he/she has been on antibiotics for a 24-hour period, your child may return to my care.
* Current prescribed medications must bear your child’s name, the physician’s name, the drug store that filled the prescription, prescription number, date of prescription and directions for administering. Over the counter medications (Tylenol, Motrin, cough medication, etc.) can be given provided they are supplied by the parent with written instructions as to directions for administering. These instructions must be supplied on a daily basis.
* Parent will be charged for any days your child does not attend due to illness.

I also have the option of taking 1-3 weeks vacation per year. Parents will be notified as soon as plans are made so they have ample time to make other arrangements. My current daycare families already have my partial vacation time planned for 2010.
|
Vacation:
There will be no charge for days that I am unable to provide care.
Each parent is responsible for having an alternate childcare arrangement.
I will give parents at least 30 days notice of my vacation time.
If I am unable to provide care due to an unforeseen event, parents will be notified as soon as possible so parents can make alternative child care arrangements.
